
Indonesia's Role in The UN Peace Keeping Mission. On the occasion of International Peacekeeping Day, Voice of Indonesia, in partnership with the United Nations Information Centre (UNIC) and the Sultan Hotel Jakarta held "Diplomatic Forum" talk show on Monday 30 May 2011.
Hosted by VOI presenter Daulat Pane and Ami from Antara News Agency the show featured some of the iconic figures of Indonesia's UN peacekeeping contribution, including Lt. Col. Nita Siahaan, MSc., the first Indonesian woman to join UN peace keeping operations, and Cpt. Agus Yudhoyono, who through his service in Lebanon has made Indonesia the only country in the world in which both the Head of State and his son have served as "blue berets" in the service of world peace. Other guests were Lebanese Ambbassador to Indonesia, HE Victor Zmetter, Head of Peacekeeping Mission of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Brigadier General I Gede Sumerta and a member of Comission I of the Indonesian House of Representatives, Mrs. Nurhayati Ali Asegaf, MSi.
